What happens when the voice of the More-Than-Humxn-World is allowed to take precedence over the voice of the artist or scientist, and instead becomes the central voice in creating  and documenting Their own artistic expression and scientific research and data? What colors, textures, and universes can be touched and allowed to be brought forth to be seen, experienced, and understood? What traumas, memories, facts, figures, and noticings is the Earth holding as Climate Change continues to change the stories that the Earth has told, can tell, and will tell in the times to come?

As climate change continues to weave new stories within the Deep Time of this Earth, the necessity to capture the voices of the Beings beyond the Humxn realm is paramount. Yet within the Western Art and Science canons, a deep tension lives in the ways that the documentation and storytelling of these climate experiences occur.

While the western art world allows new expansive emotional and reimagined ways of seeing and interpreting biodiversity loss and the myriad of forms that climate change is taking across our Planet, the Earth outside of humxn experience can be stifled at the hands of creative offerings that focus sheerly on emotional portrayals or colonial mythologies that ultimately objectify and strip the creative autonomy of the More-Than-Humxn World. Many of the creative languages that have developed in our most recent decades around climate change have failed to move beyond binaries(life/death, beauty/destruction, humxn/nonhumxn), humxn connection or disconnection to the More-Than-Humxn realm, or topical ways of seeing that fail to integrate and document co-occurring realities like temperature and biodiversity changesm within a moment in climate-time.

. Adversely, the western science realm has historically failed to acknowledge any creative and expansive voice within the More-Than-Humxn world, and instead has imposed imperialist systems of measurement, containment, and analysis in a desire to create an objective narrative outside of humxn interpretation. Further, creatively driven narratives or narratives that have existed in any form beyond colonial imperialist ways of seeing have been erased, negated, or as we have begun to see in recent years, commodified in order to gain wider social access without needing to regenerate new language.
